Pittsburgh, PA – Action Housing announces a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony to celebrate the successful completion of the final phase of renovations at Stanton Highland Apartments. The event will take place on Friday, June 6, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at 738 N. Highland Ave, Pittsburgh, PA.
This significant milestone marks the completion of the final renovation of 23 units of affordable housing, specifically designed to provide housing for former foster youth and individuals requiring ADA accessibility. Additionally, a new community room has been constructed in the beautiful courtyard, further enhancing the sense of community for residents.
Stanton Highland Apartments is a collaborative effort with the Pittsburgh Theological Seminary, aimed at creating affordable housing opportunities within the neighborhood. The project was made possible with funding from the Pittsburgh Theological Seminary, Housing Authority of the City of Pittsburgh, the Urban Redevelopment Authority, the Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency, UPMC Health Plan in partnership with Bridgeway Capital, Dollar Bank, and TriState Capital Bank. The project has renovated a total of 54 units across three buildings, offering affordable living in a desirable location, conveniently situated near various community amenities.
“The completion of this final phase at Stanton Highland Apartments represents more than renovated buildings—it reflects our commitment to building inclusive, supportive housing for all members of our community. We’re especially proud to have created safe, affordable housing for former foster youth and individuals with accessibility needs, right here in the heart of Pittsburgh,” says Lena Andrews, CEO of Action Housing.
