As construction on Second Avenue Commons comes to a close, a small dedication ceremony was held in the building yesterday for a limited audience.

When complete (sometime in October), Second Avenue Commons will provide wraparound health services, temporary and longer-term housing for individuals experiencing homelessness. Unlike other shelters in the area, this unique facility is pet-friendly and will allow couples to live together.
