Hazelwood Center
ACTION-Housing redeveloped the former Hazelwood Presbyterian Church into a multi-tenant Center for non-profits serving the Hazelwood Community. With the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh as the anchor tenant on the top floor, two other family-focused non-profits moved into the building in June 2015.
Development of this building is part of ACTION-Housing’s larger effort in Hazelwood which has resulted in the re-development of the former D’Imperios Market and the Spahr building, creating 10,000 SF of repurposed first-floor commercial space and two upper floor apartments and development of a new parking lot for our bakery tenant. This work in concentrated on 2nd Avenue between the 4800 and 5000 blocks.
