We are incredibly excited to announce that we were successful in receiving Pennsylvania Low Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC) for two projects this year! The Penn Lincoln Apartments and Uptown Flats.
Located in the heart of Wilkinsburg Borough’s Business District along Penn Avenue (at the site of the former Penn Lincoln Hotel), the Penn Lincoln Apartments project will create 41 new affordable housing units with a mix of 1, 2, and 3-bedroom apartments and nearly 15,000SF of ground-floor commercial space. This project is the result of a partnership with Hosanna House, Inc. and will be a catalyst for other investment in the Wilkinsburg Business district and surrounding areas.
The Uptown Flats project involves a partnership with Bethlehem Haven to construct a new four-story building with 34 units of supportive affordable housing and first-floor office space for Bethlehem Haven along Fifth Avenue in the Uptown neighborhood of Pittsburgh. This project will create new permanent affordable housing in Uptown while enabling Bethlehem Haven to create a housing continuum that will allow residents to find stability and success in life.
